Sun Life Direct: Run your business

New standout offerings coming to Sun Critical Illness Insurance

On April 20, Sun Life will be the first carrier in Canada to offer virtual health care services to retail Clients. Lumino Health Virtual Care gives Clients access to medical care online. This groundbreaking service is valuable to all Canadians, especially those unable or reluctant to seek care in person.

All Sun CII Clients will also get access to Best Doctors™ Mental Health Navigator. This free service helps Clients find and review the best treatment options for existing or newly discovered mental health conditions.

You can offer these exciting services starting April 20.

More about Lumino Health Virtual Care

Lumino Health Virtual Care is provided in partnership with Dialogue, a leading Canadian tele-health company. It works like a 24/7 digital walk-in clinic. Clients can connect with health-care professionals from home and:

  • Talk about their physical or mental health
  • Receive a diagnosis without a physical exam
  • Get a prescription

Clients who purchase a Sun CII policy between April 20 and October 1 will get one year of free access to Lumino Health Virtual Care.

More about Best Doctors™ Mental Health Navigator

All new and in-force Sun CII Clients will get continuous access to Best Doctors™ Mental Health Navigator. Clients can use this free service to navigate mental health concerns they may have. A Best Doctors™ Navigator will help them review their diagnosis, explore treatment options and develop a treatment plan.

Now, more than ever, Canadians need access to mental health support, and Sun CII can help them access it. Clients’ spouses will also have access to the service, as well as any children living at home.

On April 20, we’ll have updated marketing materials for both these features. These will help you share the good news with Clients.
